Let me just say that planning a wedding was WAY more stressful than I had anticipated. The best thing that happened to me as a bride was stumbling upon Ariele Chapman. Ari has since day one gone above and beyond to literally do anything she can to help ease my stress and get through the process of planning. She has a wealth of knowledge in a variety of different areas related to the wedding industry and always has helpful thoughts to share.Anytime I am feeling doubtful or needing advice she has been my go-to gal! Now to get to the important stuff- her photos. Of course I did my fair share of stalking her Instagram (sorry Ari). And immediately loved what I saw. I was obsessed with her approach lighting and colors used but also the perspectives and how not one of her couples photos were those cheesy over done wedding pictures. After seeing her portfolio I was sold. After taking our engagement pictures I was so blown away by what she captured. I have been told by SO many people that "these are the best engagement pictures I have ever seen". And we could not agree more!! They are absolutely stunning. She really took the time to get to know me and my fiance Kevin and made sure we felt comfortable and relaxed. We were both very nervous that we would be "camera shy" or not know what to do while having pictures taken of us. Ari made us feel completely at ease and we ended up having so much fun!! She is not only hilarious, but also gives great pointers and direction to help guide you in getting those perfect candid shots. We spent the afternoon hitting up all of our favorite local spots that have been apart of our daily lives for 4+ years. She was very creative with using the different locations we wanted to go to and got some gorgeous unique pictures of us. We will cherish these pictures forever as they will remind us of all the different stages of our relationship that helped get us to where we are now. To top it off- she had some edited teaser photos to us within 24 hours and the rest of them within the week. It was great to not have to sit and anxiously await getting all of these back! If you are thinking of hiring Ari - I promise you will not regret it for one minute. I absolutely cannot wait for her to shoot our wedding and be apart of our special day!! (Ps- She is also amazing with dogs which was a mega bonus for us!)

Where do I begin? I’ve basically become close friends with Ariele due to this pandemic. She has been a strong, motivating force in strengthening Tyler and my relationship by helping us marry through all obstacles. I was introduced to Ariele’s Instagram page via my good friend and yoga instructor, Ellex Medina. It was during this time that Ariele recently photographed a magical and beautiful elopement at Carbon Canyon near Brea which is local to me. Let it be known that Tyler and I were originally planning a wedding in Hawaii where we are both originally from. All planning was set in stone by mid-February 2020. Deposits were made all over the place for various wedding vendors. Covid-19 pandemic hit the US hard, causing a lockdown to occur in mid-March for the state of California. We thought that time would speak for itself and allow us to have our originally planned wedding set for August 1st on beautiful Kaua’i. Oh, how we were so wrong! We quickly became one of the thousands of couples who’ve had to cancel/postpone their wedding plans in 2020 due to the pandemic. By mid-May, Tyler and I began considering the fact that we would need to elope in the mainland (contiguous states) rather than back home on the islands. The major reason for not being able to elope in Hawaii is the fact that any visitors from outside of Hawaii must undergo a two-week quarantine before traveling around the islands. I began to reach out to Ariele in June for elopement openings in July. We wanted to wait for an elopement on Kaua’i by pushing it to August when the two-week restriction would be lifted. Once the end of July rolled around, the state of Hawaii pushed the two-week restriction through August 31 for all visitors. This is when we’d had enough of waiting to be married to each other. Meanwhile, Ariele was there for us the entire time. She was very understanding of our unfortunate situation and wanted to help us genuinely. I was the definition of indecisive during our initial conversations over the period of two months. In the end, we swooped up an elopement date of 08/20/20 with Ariele once we found out Hawaii was no longer an option for the foreseeable future. Wow, what a great investment we’d made without truly realizing! We could see from Ariele’s social media and website the great content she is able to procure. When our actual wedding day came and we saw sneak-peeks at 4am the next morning from Ariele, we were sincerely amazed. She’d gone above any expectation we had imagined! It was because of Ariele’s work that we were able to get eloped in the beautiful location Big Sur. We decided we wanted to be married there as well! Ariele provided ONLY quality wedding vendors to help put together a new “Plan A” wedding in mini-mony style. She introduced me to Nicquel Zamora for hair and makeup on wedding day whose work was astounding. Both the trial session and wedding day were meticulously and effortlessly beautiful. Ariele also recommended the florist vendor: Fleurish (Morgan) and cake vendor: Hapa Cupcakes that I was ever-so fond of. Fleurish not only provided quality work on my tropical-themed bouquet and groom’s lei but also at a very reasonable price! In addition, our cake from Hapa Cupcakes was the sweetest and crafted with such detail. All these vendors would not be our reality for our elopement if not for Ariele. To top off the great wedding pieces that Ariele recommended, she literally brought all things/personnel with her from Orange County to Big Sur. This is a 5.5-hour drive which is not easy. I legitimately applaud Ariele on her skills that do not fall under the position of photographer. My bouquet was fresh throughout the wedding day, and cake was served immaculately after our dinner in Carmel at a fine dining restaurant. As I mention her ability to literally balance multiple wedding pieces for our wedding day, she was also very professional at keeping a timeline of the wedding day. We knew we wanted to take pictures at multiple locations in Big Sur, first-look photos of bride and groom, and some cute family photos including my puppy son Ko’u. Ariele created a mock timeline a week from the wedding day to run through with me which was something a wedding planner would do. She basically became not only our photographer but our wedding planner as well. Who else can you find that’s a photographer willing to stand in as a full-time wedding planner simultaneously? I’ll wait. Ariele’s charisma allowed her to work well with not only Tyler and me but my family as well. She met my family the day of the wedding and quickly adapted to our family dynamic to ensure she could get the photos she wanted/imagined. Positioning and facial gestures are everything in photos and Ariele guided us throughout the entire process. This was what I especially enjoyed from her skills as a photographer. Her cues throughout the photoshoot were effortless and smooth which made the day that much more memorable rather than stressful. As long as the day was, we found ourselves promptly at our dinner reservation that same evening. Ariele made sure to set alarms throughout the day to keep on schedule. She even got special photos of us cutting our wedding cake that made our night feel so complete. Ariele’s ability to perform with flying colors was evident when she was able to drive back home from Big Sur to OC that same night. She managed to send us sneak peek photos of the wedding day at 4 o’clock that next morning when she arrived back in OC. Talk about super strength and skills! My family, friends, Tyler, and me are above and beyond pleased with the photos we’ve received from Ariele’s photography. These photos are timeless and so unique in detail. I can’t express enough how happy we are to have worked with Ariele for our special wedding day. We are ever-so grateful to you Ariele!! We will definitely work with her for future life events to come and recommend her for anyone/any occasion!

Working with Ariele as our photographer has been a dream! I was so obsessed with her work that I had pretty much booked with her before even getting engaged. The second we made it official, we booked with her before doing anything! She has been SO incredibly helpful with every aspect of planning, not just the photos. She has helped me with dresses, decor, and even found our venue single handedly! She is literally superwoman. We had SO much fun at our engagement shoot! She was such an angel with our dog, and made the whole experience hilarious. She even got into a nearly frozen lake with us, just to get the shot! This girl will do anything for you, seriously. Ariele photographed our wedding about a year after she took our engagement photos. We knew she would do a great job based on our previous experience with her. However, Ariele truly went above and beyond with the quality of work she put in for our wedding. She wrangled our family and kept us on time as much as possible even though we were running a bit late. She worked so well with our other vendors, even speaking with our videographer before hand to make a game plan for the day with her. She was a huge help leading up to the wedding as well. She recommended me several wonderful vendors that we ended up using on our big day! I really appreciated how much of an effort she made to get shots of everything and everyone. Ariele surprised me even more by sending me 100 (!!!) sneaks as soon as she got home from our wedding! Literally like an hour after the wedding I had 100 AMAZING photos. As if that wasn't good enough, I was even more impressed to receive a FULL GALLERY 3 DAY later. Like honestly, what kind of magic is she working with!!? I sent the photos to our family who RAVED about the quality. The photos truly came out better than i ever could've hoped for! I highly recommend Ariele for all your photography needs. If you are looking for a photographer for any life event, you have to book Ariele! We don’t even know where to start. Ariele has been amazing from the start. She immediately wanted to get to know us both personally and for what we were looking for in our photographer. She never made it awkward or made it about her, she truly was always looking out for our best interest. Once we officially booked her, things just kept getting better. Our engagement photos with her were more than we could have imagined. She was amazing! She constantly made us laugh like a real laugh and got the most gorgeous photos! We are obsessed! The best part is, we got some edited photos that same night and got the full edited album the next morning. We have friends who had to wait months to get any of their photos! She also did some bridal after the wedding to get some photos with our pup and another hidden talent of Ariele’s is that she is a dog whisper and got the most precious photos of our little family. Impressed is an understatement. Every time we look at our photos we can’t help but smile because she capture our day so perfectly. And the amount of compliments we have gotten is amazing. Ariele needs to be your photographer! We will be using her for the rest of our lives because she isn’t just a photographer, she is now a friend.

From the very beginning when she insisted we meet in person before making any final decisions, I knew she was our girl. I'm big on face to face interactions and I loved that she was super personable and very good with people. A very necessary skill when working with people and BRIDES. During our engagement shoot, we felt so awkward, which I'm sure SO many people feel, But, Ari got us loosened up and somehow was able to capture the best pictures of us that we've ever taken AND of our dog, who is a huge part of our lives. Between the 8 months of that shoot and our wedding, she kept checking in with me. Not as my photographer, but as a friend. She is such a genuine and incredible person, it's no wonder she makes friends wherever she goes. Her incredible eye and talent are backed up by some MAJOR work ethic. Our wedding day finally came and she was ON TOP OF IT. We were ahead of schedule and got everyone when and where they needed to be. She even checked in with me multiple times to make sure I was feeling good and not getting too burnt out on taking too many photos. She even was able to read my husband well enough that she came to me first to give us the option to not step out for more photos during our wedding and instead got some amazing photos of our friends and family. I really could keep going and going and going about working with Ari. I couldn't recommend her enough. She also got us our FULL photos edits, for 2 separate services we had, 4 DAYS after the wedding. WHO DOES THAT?! Ari does that<3

I wish I could rate her higher. When I say go above and beyond, those words don’t do her justice. She is incredibly. From booking where she wanted to meet face to face to our engagement photos, my boudoir, and of course the big day. She makes you feel incredibly comfortable and my favorite part about her (besides the photos of course) is her true and honest effort she puts forth to become friends with her clients. She is funny and full of energy and you can’t help but be happy. On our wedding day we had some hair styling emergencies, and we were incredibly backed up on time. I wasn’t able to take ANY photos with my bridal party prior to the ceremony because of it. We didn’t do a first look so that meant we had to do ALL family photos, ALL bridal party photos, including bridesmaids photos together, and all the shots of my husband and I in less than one hour. ONE. She was efficient and took charge. She also talked me into sneaking away for a few minutes during our reception for sunset photos and I AM FOREVER grateful she did. Those turned out to be ALLLL of my favorites. She is truly one of a kind and she will work her butt off to make sure you remember your special day and how amazing it was. AND LASTLY, she had ALL OF my 3500+ edited photos back to me in six days!!! She also sent sneaks over the very next morning! She is just incredible at what she does and I can’t recommend her enough. Trust me!! You won’t be disappointed!!

Where do I begin? Ariele Chapman is the epitome of phenomenal wedding photographer. From our first phone conversation I felt very at ease. We immediately connected and she understood exactly what I was looking for. I was having a destination wedding in South Lake Tahoe and still had several vendors left to book. She then went a step further and even sent me some vendor recommendations in Lake Tahoe. I was blown away by how much she cares...this was all before I even booked her! I very quickly snatched Ariele up for my wedding day...I didn’t want to risk getting married without her.

When we finally met for brunch it was like hanging out with a long lost friend. She’s funny, insanely talented and I can say - her photographs speak for themselves. I love the way she captures your special moments organically (my now-husband, is a wee-bit awkward in photos...knowing this Ariele cracked jokes and truly captured him “minus the awkward”).

My wedding day was incredible due to Ariele’s brilliance. The whole day was captured beautifully and I cannot thank Ariele enough. On my wedding night she sent me at least 10 sneak peeks (which I gushed over) and couldn’t wait for the rest. A little over a week later I had all 3,000+ pictures fully edited and at my disposal. I’ve had friends and family who’ve waited 2+ years for their wedding photos...I am happy to say that will not be your experience if you hire Ariele.

So this is a very much overdue review for the oh-so WONDERFUL photographer we had for our engagement pictures AND on our wedding day. Ariele is AMAZING at what she does! My now-husband and I had been looking at photographers all over Yelp and asking around to see if anyone knew of someone who took good pictures, with no luck. It wasn’t until I went on Instagram and saw some work on one of my friend’s page. I instantly FELL. IN. LOVE. I knew in that very moment I HAD to have whoever took those pictures, as our engagement and wedding photographer. I’m typically not a picky person when it comes to pictures, but I knew that I wanted these particular pictures to just be AMAZING (after all, they are for a lifetime!) My husband immediately called her up and luckily we were able to meet up with her that same night. We were both a little nervous to meet up with someone who we had never met before, but instantly she made us feel as if we had known her since forever. Ariele was super thorough with explaining all the packages to us. She even asked me what I still needed to get done for our wedding and took the time to recommend me some of her personal favorite vendors. I honestly had no other vendors help me out the way that Ariele helped me. She is such a kind, loving person and it is honestly SUCH A BLESSING to have been able to get her as our photographer. She made our pictures come out 1000x better than I could have ever imagined! Keep in mind, my husband and I had never been in front of a camera together, but she was able to capture us both so beautifully. Ariele is not your typical vendor. She will go above and way, waaaay beyond! One of the things that I thought was so personal and touching was the fact that she called me late-night before our wedding day. She checked in just to see how I was feeling, if I needed anything and pretty much just to re-assure me that everything would be okay and that it would turn out amazing. Sure enough, it did! Ariele gave us a sneak peek of some pictures THE NIGHT OF the wedding! Like how was that even POSSIBLE?! haha I don’t know, but she made it happen. We came back from our honeymoon with over 3,000 pictures to look at of our wedding which were literally ready in a week! If you are looking for not only an amazing photographer, but a life-long friend, you cannot go wrong with booking Ariele. She’s such a beautiful, caring soul who will make sure that you are absolutely comfortable as well as having a fun time while you’re in front of the camera.

Ariele Chapman has been my dream photographer. I was lucky enough to discover her earlier this year through a friend. After hours of stalking her Instagram and falling in love with her vision through photos, I emailed her in the middle of the night. Ariele responded within hours and since then, has gone far above all of my expectations I could ever have for a photographer.

I truly admire her skill of taking such beautiful candid shots, her ability to relate to her clients on a personal level and her professionalism. I’m thankful for her resourcefulness in stressful situations and her willingness to stay up throughout the wee hours of the night so that she can get perfectly edited photos back to her clients within days. Despite all these amazing qualities and talents Ariele has been so down to earth since our first conversation. Ariele has been the perfect fit, the perfect photographer and I would recommend her work forever. I cannot wait to spend hours and hours looking through the photos of how she captures our special day.

My husband and I LOVED Ariele. I met Ariele at a small bridal pop up where they had many vendors. At that time I was looking around for photographers. A lot of my research was done via yelp, The Knot, or contact through email. Meeting her personally sold me right off the bat. I asked my fiance to trust me in my choice and he was very happy! From engagement photos to the wedding it was the best experience we ould have ever asked for. We loved her photos, her editing style, as well as her personality. She knows what to do and knows how to direct people. It worked well for our wedding there was no time wasted. The best piece of advice I received when planning a wedding is LOVE your photographer. Ok you don't have to be best friends, but it is worth every penny to invest in someone you like because these pictures will be forever! Her turn around time on photos is AMAZING. I will start by saying that Ari was my first gut choice from the beginning when looking at wedding photographers. Ari is adventurous and driven, and from the first moment I spoke to her I know she was passionate about doing our photos in Spain ( which is where we will get Married in 2020). Ari constantly goes above and beyond to communicate with you regarding anything related to the wedding, and to assure that you are supported and happy with the process. Ari gave us so many options on locations for engagement photos and was supportive at all times. We traveled to Joshua Tree and she has become a friend! Ari will never make you pose, but will give you fun prompts for photos that will make your photos look fantastic and natural. I thought through the prompts I would look terrible and goofy, but Ari was able to get our best essence through her photography. I could not have asked for a better photographer, and a more supportive companion along this process. Ari not only is wonderful but efficient in her work, as she returned pictures to us within 2 days. I woke up the night after joshua tree to seeing 20 or so pictures edited the day after! And she gave up 200+ pictures within a week. I cannot recommend Ari enough :) and we cannot wait to share our wedding day with her.

There is so much I can say about Ariele. To start off, she is such a joy to be around. She will have you laughing in a matter of seconds upon meeting her the first time. Coupled with her quick wit, she is also extremely, and I mean extremely great at what she does both as a business woman and photographer. If we ever had a question, she would reply back immediately and thoroughly. She made herself available to meet to review what we wanted which meant the world to us since she literally was booked almost every weekend. She is in high demand! We appreciated her making time for us. Her turnaround time on photos too - can I just say, magic!! She was super super quick at providing us with our engagement and wedding photos so that we could enjoy and reminisce on great memories.

In regards to her work, absolutely gorgeous! We wanted a photographer that could provide a bit more moodiness in pictures and had a great eye for what looked phenomenal. Ariele sure did deliver! We have so many pictures that she spoiled us with that we adore. It is hard for us to pick which pictures to frame. I, the bride, have never really been photogenic and quite honestly would rather be on the either side of the lens, but Ariele jumped in and helped me relax. I had so much fun and can honestly look at my pictures and feel beautiful in them - thank you Ariele.

Thank you for capturing mine and Kevin's special day that we looked forward to for such a long time. As I've told you before, you are family now and will definitely be called for future milestones in our life. From photographer to friend - glad our paths crossed. After searching through many Instagram pages of photographers I stumbled upon that of Ariele. Her work was exactly what I had been looking for. A beautiful balance of moody, ethereal photos that have a polished, professional finish.

I started following her work and she messaged me congratulating us on our engagement. An easy, familiar banter began and before I knew it we were making plans for her to fly to Vegas for our engagement photos. She was so flexible and understanding when it became difficult to pin down a date to shoot. And when we were finally able to book something it was as if we had known her for years. She made the process so comfortable and fun. My husband and I are about as far from models as you can get and painfully awkward to boot, yet Ariele was able to capture beautiful photographs that truly depicted us and our love for each other. We were beyond thrilled when we were able to book her for our destination wedding as well. She even offered to grab extra lashes or last minute things we might need on the big day. The efficiency with which she works is amazing. Her experience really shines when it comes to the orchestration of photos. She is so great at keeping on schedule and reigning in family members with short attention spans. She does it with a sense of authority and humor that is entirely unobtrusive. Our photos turned out better than either of us could have imagined and we are so elated that we can remember the best day of our lives with the most gorgeous photos! One of my biggest worries about wedding planning has been finding the right photographer. When the day is over, you have your memories and your photos. The pressure is immense! I browsed through portfolio after portfolio of talented photographers and then found Ariele. From my first contact with her, she was enthusiastic, responsive and sincere. Ariele is such an amazing photographer! We wish we found her sooner so we could've had her for our engagement pictures, but we had a blast shooting Chirstmas card pictures! I had only slept about 2 hours (nightshift problems), and wasn't feeling very snuggly towards my poor husband, but somehow she still made our shoot energetic and look gorgeous.

The best part was that she included our two crazy dogs! Somehow she got them to look at the camera and they ended up looking better than we did! This was so important to us as they weren't really included for our engagement pictures, and they weren't able to go to our wedding. We LOVE all the special pictures she took of the pups. Ariele is truly an amazing photographer, and has passion for her work. She is so talented and it definitely shows. Ariele was absolutely fantastic, not only the day of our wedding, but throughout the entire process of wedding planning. She spent a lot of time before the wedding answering my questions and taking the time to talk to me about every little detail. Before I even signed a contract with her, I spent over an hour on the phone with her, and I also met her in person. Throughout the year and a half of planning my wedding she was the only vendor that would check in to see how the wedding planning was going and if I had any questions or needed help. Ariele is not only an amazing photographer, but an amazing person too! I saw some of Ariele’s work on instagram and loved the natural genuine yet sophisticated look in her photos. After she reached out to me via instagram and we talked for a bit, I texted my mom and friends, “y’all I think we found the one!” Ariele puts her heart and soul into her work and it shows in each photo we received. Leading up to the engagement shoot my fiancé and I were nervous. As soon as we picked her up at the airport our nerves were instantly put at ease. I can’t say enough about how unbelievably happy I am that I found Ariele. I had been referred to her by several of my friends, and after browsing over her instagram to see her work, who would be our photographer was decided. Simply put, hiring Ariele was the greatest decision we have made for our wedding and we’re not even married yet! I first found Ariele on Instagram via hashtags, months before I even got engaged. We couldn’t have asked for a better person to take our engagement photos. Ariele not only chose the location on our request, but it was absolutely perfect. Our meeting of Ariele was of the modern era to say the least. Upon our engagement, Ariele slid into my DM's and asked me if we had a photographer yet. Considering how new we were to the marriage endeavor, we were unclaimed.
